Conceptual Gardens

A conceptual garden uses inspiration from many sources to project or reflect a style, adding a very personal element to your outside space.

I can take anything you love, anything that inspires you, and sculpt your garden space around it, to suit your taste and personality.

A Bushfire Garden - LOST

My conceptual garden has been created around an Australian bushfire theme.  My aim is to depict an eerie scene of a lost habitat by recreating a small corner of a fire-torn Eucalyptus forest. Through this garden design, my hopes are to evoke the viewer’s emotional connections with the land scape around them.

Ghostly black figures of burned gum trees tower over the red earth leafless and lifeless; their skeletons fill the tree line all the way to the horizon, these once magnificent trees lost to flames. Tall, black and orange pillars border the garden depicting the continuous burned tree line and the terrifying, deep orange glow of the fire still burning in the distance.

This garden design was inspired by the renowned abstract artist Kandinsky, Composition VI.

Extracting patterns and shapes from the Composition VI shaped this roof top terrace garden design.
